Hi, I'm making product video files to be downloaded from the Web. The problem I'm having is the screen capture file after rendering through Ulead is turning out blury. I've tried different save option like Mpeg1, Mpeg2, but the best is WMV 720x1280..., but even this format looses some visual quality.
Can someone recommend a better way to capture from the Web and with higher quality..., or maybe suggest a better way to save my rendered file.
Thanks, Phil.

Sorry,
1. Are you wanting to make video files for peole to download from the web in high quality?
Or
2. Are you wanting to download files from the web in high quality?
1. the bigger the file the better the quality the longer it will take to download. At 720x1280 ( a weird size) you'd need a massive file to make it high quality which will take forever to download.
What is the end result to be used for?
2. You can only download as high a quality as put on the web.

Hi Graham, sorry about the misleading info. Here's what I'm doing.
1) I'm using a Web screen capture program (Captiva or GotoMeetings G2M Codec) to make wmv files of me demonstration our company's product which is browser based.
2) I take all the saved wmv files and bring them into Ulead Video Studio, add background sound, fades, etc.., and then save it as a .wmv file again.
It's that last part (saving) that I feel is the problem. The source files are very very clear.., but after the file is rendered the visual clarity is very poor.
Is there a way to capture from the Web to AVI or higher quality ?
Any help is appreciated.

I think you are right editing wmv files is going to lead to a reduced quality.
To screen capture to avi Camtasia is probably the best software around but a little pricy
http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp
or another program which is free will also capture to avi Camstudio
http://www.funchords.com/favorite/freew ... studio.htm
Either of these with differing levels of sophistication will produce source footage you can work with.

I would simply use the original files uploaded to the web, or better still, their source files. You are working with your/your companies material aren't you?
You can only download from the web what is there. The web based content has been shrunk to the bare minimum to shorten download times for folk on good old dial up. You will not get quality out of that, especially if you re-render the stuff. The frame size is rather small and you should not increase that if you want to keep quality loss to a minimum...Is there a way to capture from the Web to AVI or higher quality ?
