I'm trying to work with your very good use of English.

Most dvds do not have an audio file on its own, it is combined in the video file.

Do you mean that the file you have taken from your dvd onto the computer has video but no audio? If so you need to change the way you got the file from the dvd, how did you do it?

DTS?

Video Studio doesn't have a DTS encoder or decoder.
It is possible Movie Factory might leave the DTS track untouched on a VOB file, if that file isn't edited or re-coded... Maybe that's what happened in the past. :?:

But, do you really mean "tape"? I don't know anything about DTS tapes or how you would get the DTS data onto your hard drive...

DTS is optional on DVDs and on DVD players. All commercial DVDs are required to have an LPCM, or, AC3 (Dolby), or MPEG-2* in addition to the optional DTS track.

* PAL players are required to play MPEG-2 audio, but here in The U.S. our NTSC players are not required to have an MPEG audio decoder. So, if an NTSC DVD has a DTS or MPEG-2 audio track, it must also have an LPCM or AC3 track.

I apologize me for the language, and forgiven me the errors, I am using the translator.

Now that memory, to make a disk demo dts I have used Movie Factory 4, to be dark ago of this a few times I have reinstallato the DMF4, and through the command "Import DVD" I have withdrawn the same file vob with audio dts and I have succeeded in completing the operation with success.
If I repeat the same sequence with the DMF5 don't I get any audios, it is not that can be a bug of this release?
