Greetings forum.
I've been using VS10+ for a while now and think it's a great program.
During a recent project I came across an issue which I couldn't figure out how to solve. Whilst creating a DVD project, I noticed that any music I added to the menu would keep restarting if you moved the cursor to another item from the menu. Though it may have some suitability in other projects my particular requirements were for the music to be continuously playing.
Has anyone else come across this problem?

If you're saying what I think you are
When you move from one DVD Menu Screen to another the music restarts from the beginning.
A 'Smartscene' Menu is in fact a collection of menus that appear to be identical and so - other than the change in background music and the change in the single thumbnail - you wouldn't be aware that in fact you have just moved onto another menu screen.
This is how DVD Menus work and cannot be changed. Examine a commercially produced DVD and you will see.

Thanks for your reply.
I perhaps didn't make it clear what I actually meant, so the best way is for me to describe exactly.
I've used one of the predefined menu templates that comes with VS10+ (The one with the lily?? in the bottom right hand side). I have 3 videos in the project and each one of them is listed on the top right hand side of this page. The current one is highlighted by a small round circle. By using the arrow keys on the remote control, either in the preview screen or on the DVD, you can move the circle down to the next item. Pressing play would then start that video.
With regards to the music, each time I move the cursor up or down to the highlight the next clip (but still on the same menu page) my music will restart. I would really like it to coninue regardless.
I'm sure I have seen it where there is a continuous loop on the menu page and moving the cursor doesn't interrupt the music.
All help appreciated.

You are looking at a Smartscene Menu
A SmartScene menu could best be described as a collection of ordinary one thumbnail menus. Picture it like this. We have created a menu that has one thumbnail on the left of the screen and four links on the right. For clarity we will call these
Link One
Link Two
Link Three
Link Four
Below this are the usual navigation buttons for next previous home and play.
Now think of 4 Menus that all look identical.
We will call them Menu 1, Menu 2, Menu 3, Menu 4
Menu 1.
The thumbnail will play something associated with Link One.
Link One will call up the event for that link. The event can either be to start the video playing from a chapter point, or the event could be calling up a 'Chapter menu.'
Link Two will bring up Menu 2
Link Three will bring up Menu 3
Link Four will bring up Menu 4
Menu 2.
The thumbnail will play something associated with Link Two.
