Freezes in burned video occurs end of date footage/new date
Running 2.0GHZ P4 512 MB......After burning VS10 project to DVD, I notice a slight Freeze occuring in burned video at end of one date footage to new date footage. Shouldn't it be a smooth transition?

If they were two seperate video files, i.e. two titles on your DVD, then yes, there will be a slight pause between the two as the DVD player "searches" for the next title.

There is only one video file, I also added a transition effect between the two.....

Does the freeze show up in both your computer playback and a stand-alone DVD player, or a variety of DVD players? I ask, because some DVD players simply don't like home made videos and will do anything from the slight freezes you mention to very jerky playback to no playback at all. Some don't like certain brands or types of disc (+ or - or RW discs) or the colour of the dye used on some. And if you burned it at too high a speed (we recommend no higher than 4x if your burner will allow it for the type of discs you use), then some lasers tend to skip a little as the signal was not 'embedded' firmly enough in the disc.
Did you make a physical cut in the video at the point where the freeze occurs and then join two totally separate files via the transition. Or did you just make a 'virtual' cut without saving the separate pieces as new files, then dragged one virtual file from one part of the tape to join it via transition with another part of the tape? If the latter, then I have sometimes noticed a bit of a jump (rather than a freeze) around the transition. In my case, I think one or two frames from an adjacent Group of Pictures (GOP) were carried over. When I made a 'real' cut and then used 'Save Trimmed Video' to create completely new files, I could then join them without this glitch.
