New To Video Studio 8

Post by Andy »

I heard a lot of good things about VS 8.
I have used Nero and Pinnacle to make DVD slide shows with JPEG files. Both of those programs have a feature that allows me to "Fit Slide Show Duration to Audio Duration."
I have looked through the manual and help, but have not been able to find this feature in Video Studio.
Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

VS8 is, IMHO, a really good editing package. That said, it does not have a slideshow module as such - I know what you are thinking of; I use another application for the burning process and it does that rather well. In VS8 you just load the images into the timeline, specify the duration and transitions as desired, and manually insert a soundtrack. It does work; some have found that the final quality is not the best.
It seems to work better if you render using Constant Bitrate.

The feature you are after is available in Ulead's Movie Factory/Disc Creator 3.0, which IMHO does a very good and very easy job in producing a slide show as part of your DVD.
