i am unable to capture video from MSP 6.5 i would upgarde to MSP 7, but i dont have the money. i have changed my firewire card driver to a generic driver.
if i bought a brand name card would that fix the problem? my camera is not even recognized by windows. when i install pinnacle studio 9, windows suddenly sees my camera.
here is a list of my hard ware, and software that i am currently using.
amd athlon 1.5
512 ram
ATI allinwonder radeon128 mg
win xp proffessional with sp2
media studio pro 6.5 with latest patches
sony digital handycam ( it is a digital 8 ) dcr-trv330
nero ultra edition 6.6
the funny thing is when i looked at vegas video, not even that software recognizes the camera. strange both made by sony. anyways i jsut barely formatted and reinstalled windows. all software is fresh.
anyways if anyone has any ideas let me know.

ok so comp usa had an anniversary sale, and i bought me a new fire wire card, and well everything is good now. something to be said for newer hardware.
