Hi -
I "just" re-installed VideoStudio 10 on a fresh installation of WinXP Pro. I opened a project I was working on before reloading my computer recently. The project opens and the timeline displays find - but when I click to play the project or run the timeline bar across the clips - there is no video; just a black viewing screen. When I stop trying to play the viewing screen will show the still frame on which I stopped.
What am I missing? Is there a codec I need to obtain?
System:
PC - WinXP Pro
1GB RAM
600GB HD
EVGA GeForce 6600 LE w/256MB
DELL 1920x1200 24" flat panel
Thanks,

Sorry, but it would help an *enormous* amount if you actually told us something about the properties of the file, how it was captured, your computer specs and operating system, to name but a few. Telling us you have a project (no details) which does not display prperly does not really help much...
Maybe there is a codec you need, but until we have some more detail, who really knows???

The images were shot on a Panasonic PV-GS500 MiniDV camera and captured to the computer in DV-AVI format using VS10. I have reinstalled all Panasonic software (and rebooted) and still get the same results - blackness. As for my computer details ... I DID include those - see my previous post. I am capturing via 1394 Firewire, and everything was working until I wiped and reloaded my computer yesterday.
Please tell me if you require more information to assist.

Brian, I just updated that setting. Not sure if that was the fix or a codec I just installed (Morgan Multimedia M-JPG codec), but it is showing video now. I am rendering a WMV video now to see if I can view the finished product.
Earlier I noticed that I was not able to view videos at all on this computer - using MS Media Player 11. Videos I rendered a few weeks/months back were coming up "very" dark - and still are.
Thanks!
