Error: No Capture Driver is Available in the system

Post by Pebertt43 »

I recently downloaded the trial version of DVD Movie Factory 5. I have been using Movie Factory 3 SE with an ADS DVD Xpress capture device with no problems. Movie Factory 5 trial version gives me the error listed in the subject line when I want to capture video. Why does it not recognize the driver for the ADS?

I think the MF 3 SE version you used came with the ADS DVD Xpress device and has been tweaked to work with that device. Keep capturing with that and use MF 5 for everything after capture.

Check the capture device compatibility list in the following link:

http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/compatibility_dmf5sp1.htm

You will see ADS DVD Xpress is been listed as compatible. However, if you are using DVDMF 5 Standard then you need to install the SP1 update pack so DVDMF 5 Standard can support the device.

SP1 update pack is for the full purchased DVDMF 5 Standard version only.

You can choose to upgrade to DVDMF 5 Plus since you have DVDMF 3 SE. If you upgrade to DVDMF 5 Plus then you do not need the SP1 update pack.

Hope this helps.
