I just purchased and installed Videostudio 10+ after using the 30 day trial. Using the trial version I was able to save completed movies and later open the saved movie files in Windows and play them.
Well, now after installing and using the full Videostudio 10 version, I can save a completed movie but Windows is not letting me later open these files up. I get this message:
WINDOWS CANNOT OPEN THIS FILE. TO OPEN THIS FILE, WINDOWS NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT PROGRAM CREATED IT. WINDOWS CAN GO ONLINE TO LOOK IT UP AUTOMATICALLY, OR YOU CAN MANUALLY SELECT FROM A LIST OF PROGRAMS ON YOUR COMPUTER.
I looked in the list provided and Videostudio 10 isn't on the list. So I select the option of Windows going online to look it up automatically and it directs me to filext.com.
So what's going on here??? Even my old videos I created from Videostudio 10 Trial Version will no longer open as they once did. What changed??????
My movie files are just NTSC MPEG1 .mpg files.
I'm a complete idiot when it comes to solving computer problems so any info on what happened and what I need to do would be greatly appreciated!!
