MF 5 ISO file not recognized after Update

Post by Bill Honaker »

Nero won't recognize the ISO file created by MF 5. It worked fine until I installed the MF 5 Service Pack update. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Why did you patch it if it worked? Revert back to an earlier restore point.

Does Ulead MF 5.0 encode an ISO differently if it is less than 600MB? My Nero works fine for ISO's larger than what will fit on a CD. I'm trying to determine if my problem is with Nero or with MF 5.0. If the ISO's are the same format from Ulead, then I'll go to Nero for help.

It appears that MF 5.0 may be creating a CD image for compilations less than 600MB. Is this the case? If so, how can I force MF 5.0 to create a DVD image regardless of size?

I think this is an issue with Nero making an assumption, based on the size of the image file, that you are burning a regular CD-R/RW

You guys are great. I appreciate the help. I will talk to Nero from now on re: this issue. I have Nero 6 and when the ISO is loaded, it doesn't even offer the opportunity to select the DVD writer. But I've got my answer here. Thanks again. And George, the $5.00 I owe you is in the mail!

Regards.

I'm not 100% on this but seem to remember that there is something like a minimum file size of 1 GB in the DVD standard. I think it was in MSP 7 where there was a choice when creating a DVD to burn a minimum of 1 GB to disk for compatibility reasons.
