What are the clip and project properties? Can you confirm that the Clip Volume is at the default 100? (With your clip selected this info will be on the Video tab.)

Does this problem occur only after you have rendered the clip or does it also occur as soon as you drop it in the timeline?

Again, posting your clip and project properties would be helpful.
Clip properties: right click on the clip and report here what it says
Project properties: File>Project Properties and report here what it says

in the Audio Compression part, it says that it uses LPCm audio, so i thought i would change it to Mpeg audio.

The clip is a Quicktime file. Would that be the problem?

My Microphone records sound at 48KHz, I know this because i made a clip with my microphone & webcam working together. the clip that fuzzles up records at 11.025 KHz. Could that be the problem also?

Let's start over.

Please read the following posts:
#1 http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=27
#2 http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8959

After you've followed the recommended procedure (#1), if it still doesn't work, come back with all of the requested info (#2) and we'll go from there.

Those didn't help. I need a way to convert 11KHz Video files into 44KHz files. That might help.

You're not much of a help either if you don't answer my questions or follow the recommendations of the board.

I am having the same problem The sound on my clip is fine but as soon as I drag the clip to the project the sound there is muddled. I have VS 10.I am using mpeg movie files off an Olympus camera . The same camera worked fine 2 weeks ago.

I might just jump in here and note that John contacted me separately on this one. It transpired that his camera is an Olympus still camera. Since I know absolutely nothing about video taken on a still camera (nevr having used that myself), I suggested he post his problem here.

John may wish to right click on one of his files within VS and tell you its exact properties. In particular, whether its format is mpeg as he says, or MJPEG, which is what I suspect it is. (John -- big difference between the two formats.)

Yeah, i record my clip on a still camera as well. A kodak C330 Easyshare.

VS10 tell's me that the audio is set at 11KHz. I really feel this is the problem.is there a program that can change it?

Hi dannysaysnoo

I found this searching Google.
http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier. ... cale=en_US

Indicates that your video is:-

QUICKTIME MOV (MPEG-4 compression)
QVGA (320 ¡Ñ 240 pixels) at 20 fps

It would be easier for you to right click on a thumbnail and post the properties.
