I am guessing, but you probably have VS9 SE and are using the trial version of VS10. Your mini DVD camera uses Dolby AC-3 audio (probably 5.1 surround sound).
Neither SE versions (which are free versions bundled with hardware usually) nor trial versions can handle Dolby audio because Dolby requires a licensing fee and no software manufacturer will pay the fee for a program which they are giving away free.
So you probably have to upgrade to the full version of VS.
You could also try the free AC-3 decoder at http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=AC3_Filter That should at least allow you to download the audio into VS. But after that, you cannot recode to Dolby AC-3. Instead, you have to convert it to LPCM or mpeg layer 2 audio.
