PI8 ufcpnmgr.dll

I would send system info but is for family member system not this one. She has PI8 on her system and recently could not get it to open. Error message would pop up saying it could not find ufcpnmgr.dll and that reinstalling might fix this.

Is this a PI file? does she have to reinstall or can the file be replaced?

I did look thru some of the pages here and found a few things but nothing I seen related to this file.

Thanks for any help you can give me or if you can send me somewhere to look.

Why don't you simply follow the instructions given by the program itself? For starters, a repair installation (if you have the boxed version) might do the trick. If the OS is XP Pro, a system restore to the point prior to this problem occuring may also help.

I don't have PI 8 installed, it's avery old version, but assume this file to be a Ulead file. The dll files are created by the installer program at the time of installation.

I find this file in the installation folders for PI 11 and 12 as well as in MediaStudioPro8.

Thank you fro the quick reply. Wanted to be sure about the file. I did think about the repair option but this program came with the system when she bought it a 3 years ago, so not a boxed version. Not sure if or where any discs may be. OS is XP home.

If there are no disks, I'm afraid, you are out of luck. An upgrade might be in order then.
