For some reason videostudio crashes/disappears off my screen in a blink of an eye as soon as I go to create video on any project.
Im running XPSP2, OC'd Athlon 2600+, 512mb ddr
Solutions? Or should I just use another video editor?
Crashes when I go to create video file

video sudio 9 crash
Did you ever get any assistance?
I am having exactly the same problem. It saved once -I suspect with a corruption and now crashes every time . Just blinks off the screen. After all my work editting my first video I am loath to let go. Incidentally the saved vsp file causes Moviemaker2 to crash as well.

Burly never said what version of VS he was using. Some SE versions are crippled by not allowing access to the burning engine -- i.e. you can do most things except burn!
And Joka -- there is no point in trying to open a vsp file in any other program - the letters stand for Video Studio Project, and it is not a video file at all -- merely a project file which tells the programme what clips are in the project, where they are, and what has been done to them.

Is that Overclocked? Have you tried running at normal cpu speed?
Why would you want to use another video editor without writing to
tech support?
Do you have a serial number to use? you will need it to get help from them.
If you search the forum you will come across a complete removal of all
the program files, registry entries, keys and temp files.
Then re-install the program. This has solved many users problems.
Search the VS forum for crashing and/or registry/remove etc.
