My goal is to create a 16:9 DVD using Video Studio 7 and MF3. Video Studio 7 doesn't support 16:9, but I like using it to edit so I'd like to keep it in the process if possible.
My cam captures 16:9 video.
1. Capture 16:9 source in VS7 as 4:3. This results in a AVI file that looks squished (tall and skinny).
2. Edit in VS7 and output the MPEG.
3. Import the MPEG into MF3 and change the project settings to 16:9. This should (in theory) stretch the MPEG back to the correct size.
4. Output the DVD files.
The only step I've tried so far is #1. I'm just looking for confirmation that this should work. Of course, if you have a better method (short of buying VS8) I'd love to hear it.
Thanks
Kevin
I should add that I'm pretty familiar with VS7, but not with MF, which is why I'm asking for some help before delving in too deep.
