I have DVD Workshop SE. It came with a package I ordered from
Canopus about 1 1/2 years ago. It is version 2.0 release 2.
I am trying to update my software but I can't seem to find out what
the SE means? Is it the full version or express version.
Since it says release 2 on the disc I am not sure what updates I need
to install and at what update number to begin and end with. I have this software since July of 2004 .
I have searched the Ulead website but can't find any information on SE.
Any help you can give me I would greatly appreciate.
Thank You
LB

Hi Ibcamera,
To Search, you need to include more then 2 or 3 characters. So to search for SE, you should include something like "versions".
However SE means a Simple Edition. They are cut-down versions and are generally bundled with some type of hardware. They are free, and can not be sold, without the hardware. In other words, you should not be able to purchase the software.
SE versions do not qualify for updates, fixes, or tech support. The good thing though is that they will qualify for upgrade pricing. There is a big difference between updates and upgrades.
So in summary you will not find any updates for an SE version. However you can use it to get discount prices toward the purchase of an upgrade to a full version.
