UVS10+ video gets darker when editing
For some odd reason, my video gets darker when I hit the "play" button while editing. When I make a dvd however, the video is burned to the disc at the correct brightness level. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? It is kind of difficult to use the color correction when editing because I can't tell what the true brightness of the video is. I tried reinstalling UVS10+ several times and it has not solved the problem. Any input would be greatly aprreciated, thanks!

Thanks for sharing the experience, I believe it would help other nVidia users.

Yes I have had this with 2 different nVidia cards (4 series and 6 series) and VS8/9/10 as well as other non-Ulead editors/authoring programs.
But although it's visible once you notice it, it's not very spectacular.
Once you get that the right color is in the Edit mode (with attributes tab selected of course) the point is moot, since you tune always in filter mode).
I have the latest certified driver.
Apparently you discovered it's corrected on the 7000 series.
Interestingly in my case the CRT monitors are the only ones affected (one Philips, one AOC), the same card on an LCD monitor (one Philips, one Acer) have correct levels...

This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.

Same here. I have an IBM 21" CRT and realized early on that what I was seeing on the screen was not what I would see on the DVD. Just bought a new Acer 22" LCD and it about knocked me off my chair first time I fired up VS again. What I see now is very close to what my test DVD's look like. Plus I have a ton more room on the screen for film / still / filter clips. No more scrolling!daniel wrote: Interestingly in my case the CRT monitors are the only ones affected (one Philips, one AOC), the same card on an LCD monitor (one Philips, one Acer) have correct levels...
