Error msg dvdr -dao-spit 2a-02-05-30-05

Post by artyboy »

What gives? using Video Studio 9 SE DVD. The box says to reboot? Anyone anything about this one? can't find Error msgs in the help info of the program.

I can burn the menu but once it starts the main video's it frizzes out.
I also chose a slower speed for the burn,

Help!

I'm not sure what the error message actually means, however doing a search , DAO could be:
1. Data Access Object
2. Disk At Once

Did your VS9 SEDVD come bundled with a DVD burner? If so have you tried checking to see if the firmware is up to date? Also you might try using different media. If you have any other "Packet Writing" software installed, try disabling it.

Other then that, it looks like the judges results for DAO in his spitting contest. If 30 is best, then he didn't do so well...:)

It's Disc-At-Once.

2A-02 means writing disk, and 05-30-05 means media has a problem if I remember correctly.

Can you tell us the burner model and the disk brand/type?

Maybe you can check http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters to know what media is suitable for your burner.

Thank you htchien for that definition. I use to see that all the time in DVD Movie Factory during a burn and until now I never knew what all that info meant. Thanks for the education. This forum is awesome! :D

Memorx MRX -510L DVD Burner

Thanks for the help!
I am making head way... I'm running a Dell 1.1 g Celeron with 512mb RAM.

I reduced the burn speed from the max of 16X to 12x and 8x and have had better luck with the slower speed of 8x! I am using Vebatim dvd-R single layer
