Studio 8 looks real Good! - Just a few questions

Post by Livin inside my PC »

Hello 8)

I'm brand new to this forum. I'm an old Pinnacle Studio
user who just got turned onto Ulead's video editing software and
lemme tell ya IT'S GREAT!

I had a few questions:

When I picked up my new Pioneer DVD+/-R it came packaged
with Ulead Movie Suite 3.5 which includes Video Edting,
and DVD MovieFactory, Nova, Photoshop Software, and more...

However, I am mainly interested in the Video Edting
Software... It's Superb! The thing that hit me immediately
was that nice BIG editing window. And the Pan and Zoom
parameters for stills blow Pinnacle away!

If I buy Ulead's Studio 8, will it have the same features as
(and more), than my current bundled 'Ulead Movie Suite 3.5?'

Will Studio 8 have the same beautiful editing window that
comes with Ulead Movie Suite 3.5?

Will Studio 8 have the same beautiful Pan and Zoom
parameters that came with Ulead Movie Suite 3.5?

Will Studio 8 also have the capability of burning video
projects to DVD? *The bundled 'Ulead Movie Suite 3.5' does
have a version of 'DVD MovieFactory'...

Thank you my friends

I think you should download the trial version.

That should answer all your questions. The program is good i like it but,

There is one major bug regarding out of sysc' audio when working with Mpeg files. Ulead have yet to fix. Althoiugh there are work-rounds.

Give the trial version a go.

I cured my out of sync issues by reinstalling with out any of the patches.

I agree with trevor andrew download the trial and give it a workout!

Another thing you could do is download some tutorals that you can watch in Windows Media Player, here;s a link

Hi Merlin

Interesting to know that you have found the update patch to be the cause of the OOS problems.
Have you reported your findings to Ulead Tech Support?

All the best Trevor

Others have found the same to be true as well. I just got my pc back up and running last night. I am going to contact Ulead here in a few minutes. I hope others do as well.

My next step is to install each patch, run some tests and try to find out which one, or combination of them are causing the problem. But I've been working alot of hours lately and most of my posting here is actually from my pc at work. Don't know when I'll have the time to do it.

Hi Merlin

I have gone through the process of installing various patches, then testing for OOS. the only patch that seems to create the problem is the main update patch, but associated with 'smart render'.

When I Install the patch and dont use smart render and i find all is ok.

If you run VS 8 without the update patch you will have problems with audio/transition . this was corrected with the daylight saving / audio fix.

(do not confuse with the daylight saving time fix)

All the Best

Hi,

I NEVER use Smart Render. It causes a host of problems.
