Graphics card question

Post by KCJC »

As mentioned in my post from yesterday, I'm trying to get my computer "upgraded" before installing VS10. We have an Intel Celeron processor with integrated graphics card. My question is:

Given the deficiency in our processor, would we be helped by adding a PCI/Graphics card? If so, can a card be used in addition to the integrated card that came with the computer?

Thanks so much

There are three types of graphics cards. PCI, AGP and PCIe. For video capture, either an AGP or PCIe card would be the way to go. However, we really need to see your system specs. RAM, processor speed etc.

Video editing is a CPU / RAM / Hard Disk intensive work to do. To have better performance in video editing, more powerful CPU and more RAM / Disk Space are better.

Also the shooting / capture devices are important, too. Choose a good one.
