Not Closing The Disk, Burning Questions

I downloaded a trial version of Movie Maker 3.0 I captured digital video off of my Digital camcorder. Edited and created a DVD of the video. I created 5 copies of the video to disk. 2 are 100% correct, 3 are 95% correct.

When I got ot burn, the disk does get burned, but I get an error message, telling me to reboot. When I put the "error" disk into my DVD player, it is reconginized and plays fine, but this same disk is not reconginized nor will it play on my computer. I burned two ways, right to disk and also created an image file and burned from my hard drive. I got success and failure using both techniques.


The two disks that burned without error message work on my computer and DVD player. I used different media, and got success and failure with each.

I have not downloaded pathces, burn engine updates as I was not aware that they existed till a few moments ago. Do you think this may correct the problem.

When I burned from an image file, it told me that the burn was 100% complete but it did not close out the disk. Is there a way to close the disk after the fact?

Any suggestions, ideas on how to fix my issue?
