"safe area" has vanished from preview window.

The "safe area" used to be displayed in the preview window but has now vanished. I've gone into file->preferences->general and confirmed that the title safe area box is checked but this makes no difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi

The Safe area can only be seen in the main video track when using the 'distort' function

It can be seen when using the 'overlay and title' tracks

You know, I would have sworn that I'd seen it on the main track before. Too much Xmas alcohol must be addling my poor old brain.

Thanks for clarifying - I can see it if I add an overlay or try to distort the pic.
