PI 8 crashes as it opens

I have read through the forums and found some people seem to have the same trouble as me. Everytime i open a picture ( associated with PI ) the program starts to load, and i get the "PI has encountered a problem and must close" message.

It was suggested to uninstall and reinstall the software, however i lost installation media ( it was via ESD, and i had my hard drive crash ) I have since purchased the upgrade to PI 12 and i am quite happy with it, however I would like to be able to recover my original install files. Is there an email address i could contact, or a link to download PI 8 again?
