phantom music added when burning dvd from mini dv tape
I used VideoStudio10 to transfer footage from a dv tape onto dvd, and music has been added to it from somewhere. The music is background guitar music, and is very loud when viewing the menu screen, then fairly subtle but still present when watching the chapters. I couldn't find any options in the DV to DVD wizard screen regarding "Add crappy backgroung music", how did it get there and how do I turn it off? The footage was raw and direct from dv tape, what's going on?

If you look carefully at the top right of the screen you will see a small icon. It depicts what looks like an ageing hippy grandfather type holding a guitar. That is the "Add crappy background music" button which you must have hit prior to burning.
Ok, not many people here actually use the wizard as they prefer to exercise more control over the process and I am guessing you are beginning to see why!
Retrace your steps and look carefully for any option that automatically adds music from the smartsound choices as that, I think, will be the sourse of your fabulous switched on bach music.

I must have a slightly different version than yours (am in Australia) as I have no old hippy icon on any of the wizard screens. However, I had a look in the advanced settings tab in the final screen before burning, and found a slide bar with Template Music Volume marked above; I turned it down to 0 and hey presto! No more dodgy music in final cut!
