Why???? Preview screen doesn't work again!

Post by Gary Voth »

Does any one have a program that functions consistently? I reinstalled it twice then I have uninstalled, cleaned according to instructions, reinstalled the program to have it work fine but then when I tried to change to ditty that played with the slides I was back to green preview screen. I'm pretty frustrated with this product. Anyone know of another that works? Am I in a post Christmas Turkey haze?

Gary,

I don't know what "ditty" you are talking about. Is it a video? What format is it? Does this happen with any other project, videos, slideshows?

It would help if you were able to provide more information on your system. Please complete your System Information in your profile. Clicking on this button -->Image will take you to a short tutorial, explaining how to find and complete that information. This way it will always be available, and will save you from retyping it in the future.

In response to your other questions: The "ditty" is the mp3 sound file associated with the theme. When I add or take that away the preview screen ceases to function. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it again with the two patches. It worked fine. But just now I added an mp3 audio file (one which came supplied) and presto: green flickering useless preview screen. I dina know wha to do! :?

It seems to be having a problem with the mp3 file. That is no surprise. Ulead seems to have problems with some mp3s.

Convert the mp3 file to WAV file. You can do that using an audio editor such as Audacity which is free, and very powerful. Then insert the wav file.

MP3 - comes with the program??..

Thanks,

I'm curious about ULEAD and MP3. Why does it ship the program with mp3 audios in it's library if it has trouble with them?

Apparently there is an issue that is specific to CD/DVD PS concerning MP3 files. Other apps such as VS has problems with some, however can play other MP3s. So until Ulead issues a patch for this, it is recommended to covert them to WAV.
