White White White!

Hmmm.. I've read everything I can in the manual but I can't figure this one out and my eyes are getting TIRED!!

I'm trying to use Animation Studio to make text fade or dissapear but as the text disappears it leaves an annoying white image of the text behind.

I want the text to completely disappear but I don't know how to change the color to the exact same white background color. It doesn't make any difference whether I use white as the background or use a transparent background.

Help please, my eyes can't take any more!

How exactly are you trying to make the text disappear? Please explain your work flow.

Hi Heinz,
I'm new to animation effects so I thought I'd start with something simple..
best laid plans!

New image > Canvas: white, background color or transparent > any image size > Text tool > type a word in the box (blue font, size 90) > hold left mouse button and drag over the word to select it > Effect > Creative >
Animation Studio > Ripple Effect > save as GIF


There's probably a simple solution but I don't know my way around
photo editors very well, can you help?

Sorry but I'm not with you on this. What is it you are trying to do? Are you going to use this "animation" somewhere? Where do you view it? I take it you use Gif Animator (don't know Animation Studio). Can you email the gif file to me? I will send you my email address via PM.

Did you create the whole thing in GA or in PI? If PI, which version?

I'm using Photo Impact XL (2003)

I'm not sure what the animation studio tool might be called in other versions but it includes effects such as ripple, whirlpool, motion blur, gaussian blur..

and yes it is a GIF.
It's very simple to apply the ripple effect but it seems to need a little tweaking for text.
