Ulead Released New Vista Pack

Post by Ron P. »

Ulead has just released a patch, called Vista Pack for VS10

When you have downloaded and installed this patch, your copy of Ulead® VideoStudio® will be certified as ¡§Works With Vista™¡¨

* This patch is 42 MB in size and should take about 15 minutes to download.
* The patch will not work on PCs that do not have Windows Vista installed.
* You will be required to sign in (register) before downloading the patch.
* After signing in and downloading the update, you will receive a message and a 10% discount coupon, courtesy of Ulead!

Installer can not find VS10

Post by nlimonge »

I tried to reinstall VS10 at C: and D: default folder. But the installer can't find my VS10 installed.

After installed in Vista OS, there's no sound. Maybe this pack will solve this problem. I am really interested in VS10 but I need see how it works.

Is there any solution?

Thanks,

Ney

Vista

Post by GKDantas »

I dont have problems installing the original XP version and use it under Vista, just get a slow software and some crashes. Now with this patch its load very quicly and works great, the only strange thing is that its turns to the basic skin ( no aero) but this is not a big deal to work without.
I hope that a patch for PI can make me use it with Vista soon!

Aero is turned off deliberately.

Ulead's site does occasionally have problems. It depends on where you are located as to the frequency and times. I just tried and the link is not broken. Their servers probably get overwhelmed and will take a long time to load.

I think the Ulead site may be having some temporary bandwidth problems.
Try again in a few days.

I think the network broken issue by the Taiwan earthquake 3 weeks ago is still not solved. It's been said by the largest Taiwanese network company, Chung-Hwa Telecom, that the network broken issue would need at least 1 month to fix because 3 undersea network cables are broken.

I think I was not very clear about my problem or maybe nobody knows to answer my question. I'll post again.

When I try to install Vista Pack for VS10, the installer says that can't find the VS10 installed.
VS10 is installed at default folder.

I am testing Ulead at XP but I'd like to use at Vista OS.

Any help? :(

You say your are testing Ulead, which to me says that you are using the TBYB or Trial version. If so then you must have a full registered version. It will not install to TBYB, or SE versions.

Vista Upgrade won't install to trial

Post by JoReneA »

If you can't test Video Studio with Vista, how do you know whether you want to purcase it? It is not good policy, I don't think, for the company to issue a trial version that won't work with the os that it is supposed to work with. I'm now trying to decide which video program to buy to work with Vista...and Ulead can't be in the running if I can't try it out first. I've purchased enough programs that I find out too late won't or don't work properly.

Actually it's supposed to work with XP.
Vista is a new operating system that was released AFTER VideoStudio. The Technicians at Ulead have created and made available a Vista patch for existing users but I would think that VideoStudio 11 will be more geared up for Vista than the patched current version.

For your information: VISTA was released a full year after VS10. VS10 originally was not set up to run under Vista because the final release date for Vista, or was it still Longhorn??, was not even known.

Because Microsoft prefer to shift the goal post every couple of weeks, how do you expect any software company to make available a free try before you buy version of their current software and insure it is compatible with all future releases of operating systems?

Go and blame VISTA for your problems, they were the last on the block
