without getting into the copyright issues...insert your CD into the PC,
turn on Video Studio. Open up the "Audio" tab, the make sure your tab is next on "Music & Vocie", you will see on one of the two small windows to the left, the drive the CD is in and the Music Tracks available to you. You simply pick a track and push the Play Button and when you want to record, push the Red Record Button. As you do all this the Recorded segment will be added to your time line. You can save it as a Audio File by going to the "Share Tab" and saving it. Also, you can use you camcorder to capture the sound on your mini dv tape and then transfer it to your Video Studio program as a video file and save it as an audio file. As other people see your posting, I am sure they also will have several other ways of doing it
