SUBJECT: Problem with the program
I recently recieved a VuPoint 1.3 megapixel camera. It came with the Photo Express 4.0 software. I popped the cd into the drive and started the installation. After installing the driver, I restarted my windows MX machine. (the installer instructed me to do so after installation of the driver was completed.) Next I continued to install Photo Express 4.0. After that was done, I attempted to open the program by double clicking on the icon that was on the desktop (a shortcut to the Ulead folder.) The mouse had the hourglass, so I knew it was trying to do something. But after about 10 seconds or so, nothing had happened. No program had opened. I used the control/alt/delete keyboard shortcut to "end task" but there was no Photo express 4.0 in the applications tab. I attempted to double click the program icon again. Nothing happened once again. I manually went into the C: drive and found the Ulead folder. I noticed something strange. There were roughly 70-80 .dll files cluttering the folder up. I didn't know what they were, so I just continued to click the photo express icon in the ulead folder. Again, nothing happened. (my digital camera is connected to the computer after I installed the driver fyi.) Now i am frustrated and I attempt to unistall the whole deal....giving up on the first installation. I wanted to install it again after it was gone from the machine. This is where I run into another problem. During the uninstall process, it tells me that all of the .dll files are locked and they cannot be removed. Every single one of them. I clicked ignore for each one. Roughly about 70-80 times so the unistall would atleast get rid of the other files. My brother managed to manually go into the Tuneup Utilities program and he deleted each file one by one.
My question is, Did I get a version that just isn't going to work? I know these programs are not guaranteed to work at all, They just do most of the time. I am extremely frustrated with this and I do not even want to attempt to try to install the program again. The time it took to get rid of everything after PE 4.0 didn't even work was a huge pain in the butt. Give me some sort of incentive why should I continue to buy or even use any programs created by ULEAD?

It's possible there is some software conflicted with PhotoExpress 4 so it would not open. That's all I can think of.
Maybe you need to contact Ulead Tech Support for the issue.

But if there's someone who know how to solve software conflicts can go to your place to check would be better.
