Hi, i am using VideoStudio 10 Plus, however whatever program i use this situation still occurs.
Up until recently everything was working perfect, however now, when i capture/view what is on my camera, the sound is extremely distorted.
Can anybody please help me in anyway?
Thanks

Check the user manual of your camera, is the audio in the camera in 12bit or 16bit?

Though 12 bit audio should not produce the problem you are having, you should adjust it up to 16 bit. This has to be done according to your camera instructions, however. VS has nothing to do with it.
If you are capturing in DV format, check in the Options icon on the Capture page what Encoder Type you are using. If, for instance, you have reloaded VS, it will revert to default settings. And it is set by default to DV Type 2, but many people have trouble with that -- a common problem is choppy audio (and/or video). Change it to Type 1 and you should be OK.

I read this post and I still get the choppy audio on capture. I do know however it is not due to VS10.
I have a custom built system with 3gig ram and 2 500gb HD. I have a soundblaster audigy SE card and I am using the firewire connection to capture.
I have verified that the DV tape has good sound and I also have verified that I have similar issues if I use for example MS Movie Maker.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

videostudio sound prob
. A month ago I could download Quicktime movies with avi sound off of my Olympus digital camera and play them in project mode. Now they will only play in clip mode. I have seen this posted three times now. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
