You don't see the edges because of something called "Overscan". Basically, what you see on your computer monitor will not be what you see on your TV screen (you will lose ~10 - 20% around the outer edges (this Overscan area can vary from TV to TV -- it is still on your DVD, you just cannot see it -- think of it like a picture frame with an opening of 3.75"x5.75" on top of a 4x6 picture).BENDERSKY wrote:i made a dvd disk with picturre slide show but a regular dvd dosn`t see it only div`x dvd and when i see it on the div`x dvd he made the picture smaller and i don`t see the adges.

That is because you are using Stereo LPCM Audio (which is 1,536kbps). The max bitrate for the Video/Audio on a DVD is 9,800kbps, so 9,800 minus 1,536 = 8,264kbps.BENDERSKY wrote:hi steve by the colculator i need to set the bit rate to 9570 but ulead doesn`t let me to do it he said that the max is 8264.
For a slideshow, I would use 6,000kbps (you shouldn't max out the bitrate because higher bitrates on the home-made stuff can cause playback issues on alot of DVD Players). Your version of VS8 might not have DolbyDigital audio (AC3), so you might be stuck with LPCM audio. NOTE: you could try mpeg audio at 224kbps (mpeg audio is ok for PAL DVD's, and on most NTSC DVD Players. But because it is not part of the NTSC Standard, some NTSC DVD Players will not play mpeg audio).

George
