Sub Menus? How?

Hi Gentlemen.
Q1. I am lokking at page 45 of the MF3 manual on their description of submemus - menu structure in general. I can't for the life of me figure out from this description any way to create & label sub-menu chapters.

They say here it is a peice of cake. Clip 1 (if I add a couple of chapter marks) ends up with more motion menu clips as sub motion menus on another page - exactly what I want! Can't find how to get there from the horrid manual description.

Q2. This video trimming seems very odd. Can you not just make cuts & select resulting sections for deletion? No controls for audio fading or editing. Are there a bunch of hidden menus or something? The software control seems awfully limited for the price paid. So far the only plus is the motion menus capability but I worry if it will allow me to over run DVD standards for menu size & result in playback issues.

Anyone pushed & or found rules of thumb for the number of motion menus in MF3?
