Menus

I have used Video Studio since version 6. I have never come across this problem before. After I have burned my DVD there appears the image of a blue feather on the menu. It is over the play arrow. It seems to be some type of an indicator since it jumps around when I select the different play options. Can I remove it, or is it built in?

You are not very helpful yourself and I guess it was "Mr. Smarty pants" way of telling you that we know less than nothing about what you did with what footage in which version and how.

A read of this might give you an idea http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8959

Thanks Heinz,
I just burned my DVD in the usual way using version 10+ and a blue feather now appears on the menu as a kind of a highlight marker over the "play" symbol etc... Pinnacle uses colors to do the same thing.
I found this link which I guess explains it although I have never noticed it in previous versions

Annoying that it apparently cannot be easily removed.

That little blue feather is just the indicator of which scene/chapter is selected which is why it moves about when you use the navigation buttons - when the feather rests over one of the thumbnails pressing 'enter' on the remote will play that thumbnail.

You need some sort of indication - how else would you know which scene you have selected.

There are a couple of options available to you - the easiest is to just choose another menu template and use that - they all have different methods of highlighting the selection but all can be customised so that they all look exactly the same (apart from the highlight) - so which one you choose doesn't matter.

Alternatively use Ulead Photo Impact to modify the menu template and put in whatever highlight you desire.
