How to add text to an existing template ???

Post by JustOneOfMany »

Hi all,

Is there an easy way to customize (add simple text) to an existing template in MovieFactory 5 Plus ?

I know how to customize the buttons, the frames and the layout but add text seems to be impossible. There must be out there somebody who figured it out.

Maybe the only way is by buying PhotoImpact (another program). If this is the case, then the next version of MovieFactoty should have that possibility.

Thank you in advance,

Pierre

The only text elements on the templates are variable/editable items - the title and the chapter names. I take it. Pierre, that you want to add a permanent/non-variable text item?

In that case, you'd make it part of the background image - which can be done in any graphics editing application.

I had same problem, a short title which i wanted to write them in large character and the authors name of the movie longer in shorter character, i finally give up and write all character at same format...

This is a Simple thing that should be Simple to do like MovieFactory generally make possible

Not really the same problem, liopu - JustOneOfMany (apparently) wants to add extra text besides the title and the chapter names, whereas you want variation within the formatting of the existing title element.

But that's a good wish! MF is extremely limited in its text editing capabilities. Here are some other basic text editing capabilities I'd like in MF6:

2) Left/right justification.
3) Standard Windows text editing shortcuts (selection, cut, copy, paste ...).
4) Undo levels.
