Reinstall and Clean install

If you run reinstall or do a clean install will I lose all the work I have done? I tried to do the Create DVD Folder and it stopped in the same place and gave the same message -- Error in the DVD engine. I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE ALL THESE FILES. Is there anything I can do?

Anything that is physically located within the installation folders may be overwritten or deleted when you do a clean install.tore all files you want to keep in a different location and after a reinstall get them back from there.
