Internal Error in DVD Engine
I have had no problems with PS4 until last night. Everytime I attempted to burn a DVD it would give the message "Internal error in DVD engine" but give no troubleshoot for dealing with it. I have some programs that need to be burned in the next couple of days. What can I do to fix this problem.

You might need to reinstall PS4. If the standard uninstall/reinstall procedure doesn't fix the problem I would recommend a "clean" install. Instructions on this can be found by searching the forum or if need be I can post them for you.
In the meantime, it may be possible to output your projects as "DVD Folders" and burn them to DVD with a 3rd party app like Roxio EMC or Nero... basically ANY burning app that supports burning from from VIDEO_TS folders. This type of output is generated from the "3 Burn" tab by selecting "Create DVD Folders" rather than "Record To Disc".

If I do reinstall or clean install will that delete those files that I have? If so, how do I preserve them so that I do not lose them? Thanks for the help
