Load from stream Error in Videostudio 9

Can anyopne tell me how to get rid of the "Load from stream Error" message that I get everytime I open up Videostudio 9.??? I deleted some clips from the video section and now I have to go through about 40 some odd clips of nothing before the error message goes away and I have 4 pages of blank clips. As soon as an activity is started the error comes back and I have to go through the page of nonclips before i can do the next step. I can edit video and burn DVDs but cannot capture video anymore. I have uninstalled and installed VS9 3 times and that doesn't seem to to the trick. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The basic problem cawagner is that a simple un-install leaves a number of files behind on your HDD - it is one of these which is causing your problem - follow the procedure in Steves link and you should solve your problem.
