I just upgraded to MovieFactory 3 Disc Creator. My ultimate goal was to copy a DVD-R DVD into DVD+R format. The source DVD had audio in AC-3 format, which is why I needed the upgrade.
I used the Import DVD feature, then burned a new DVD in DVD+R format. When I play this disc in my DVD player, there are several places in the video where everything just pauses for a few seconds, then continues. I also noticed that the time counter on the DVD player resets after one of these pauses. Any ideas?

Update Packs for DVD MovieFactory installed??
Ulead DVD MovieFactory - Support Info:
http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf.htm
What's the burner model/disc media you use?? Maybe you can check the following list to know what media can be used with your burner.
DVD Writer Compatibility List:
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters
And check what media can be used with your player.
DVD Player Compatibility List:
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers
If you only wish to copy DVD-R DVD to DVD+R DVD, you can just use the Copy Disc module in DVD MovieFactory Disc Creator to do the job. Just click on the Copy Disc icon when you start DVD MovieFactory Launcher.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried to use the Copy Disc feature. Since I have only one DVD drive, I put the source disc into my DVD drive and selected "disc image file" as my destination drive. When I attempt to copy from the image file, I get a message that says "unspecified error". I can't believe how much trouble I'm having with something that seems so simple.htchien wrote:If you only wish to copy DVD-R DVD to DVD+R DVD, you can just use the Copy Disc module in DVD MovieFactory Disc Creator to do the job. The Copy Disc module has a One-Drive Copy feature so you do not need to copy the DVD to disc image file in advance.
However, it should be no problem if you copy the disc to disc image file first then burn the image file to disc....
Can you describe the brand of the disc media and your burner model??
Have you applied the latest burning engine packs??

Thanks for your reply. When I tried using the "one drive copy feature", I got some type of error message about .iso files. I am not at my computer right now so I can't give you the exact message. In fact before I got the upgrade, I tried doing this with MF 2 and I would get a message that said the source drive and the destination drive cannot be the same. That is one of the reasons I got the upgrade.
I talked to a Ulead tech support guy today. He told me the disc copy method was not possible in my case because in intermediate translating of formats is required that is not accomodated by the Disc Copy utility.
He told me to try examining the clip properties after importing the DVD. He said that there may be inconsistent properties between the clips. I will try playing with it some more tonight.
The disc media I am using are Memorex DVD+R and DVD+RW. I believe my DVD burner drive is a Teac, but I don't remember for sure. The source disc is a DVD-R. I have been using the Memorex discs with this burner for quite some time and never had a problem before.
Thanks for your help.
