Cannot read audio (0x8004005) How to fix?

Post by Wilde Racing »

I tried doing a search on this problem, but with no luck.
I keep haveing a Cannot read audio error with my Video studio 10 plus when I try to Creat video file. I'v tried MPEG2 and MPEG2 HD, it created afile before, using this format. (I was using the trial verson though)
the error reads
"Cannot read audio (0x8004005)
[18300:8000:192]
How can I fix this, the video plays good while in Video studio....
Thank you

It must be an issue with the sound of the source file. What are the file properties? Where did the file come from?

That error code suggests that one of your source files is corrupt or incompatible. Considering the description I would look at the sound files. (In the past, it has been associated specifically with audio using .WMV format.) Try removing the audio files one at a time and see if that solves the problem. You may need to re-encode the offending files. Or better, convert them to .wav format.
