Audio changes after burning to DVD

Post by bertmartin »

Using VideoStudio 10 I am have trouble with the audio levels. I recently made two short videos and saved as mpeg2 files. Both previews were fine. Also I viewed the mpegs with Windows Media Player - also fine. I opened the DVD writing tool and added the two files with menus and burned the DVD. The audio changed and was not acceptable. I burned two copies, with and without normalizing the audio. The opening menu sound (there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust this) was extremely loud but I had to turn the volume way up when I played the video. Also on the second video I added a music background at a low volume (10) so I could clearly hear the children, but after buring, the children's voices were much lower. Why does the DVD burning tool change the mpeg sounds and how can I adjust the volume on the Ulead menu music?
Thanks, Bert
