I have a question before I purchase this software. I have searched the website and documentation, can't find the answer.
I already own dvd slideshow software, but the pictures look ratty on a high definition tv, because the software down-sizes the resolution when rendering.
I am looking for sofware that allows me to keep my photos at a high- resolution, so the photos look good on high-resolution tv.
What about PictureShow? I will buy it today if my photos will look good on high-resolution tv.
Also, I want to be able to easily re-arrange the picture order.
In other words, picture order is not dependent on file name.
Thanks!
Mary Ann
can I select photo resolution?

Hi Maryann, welcome to the forums..
I'm guessing here, as I have never used this software (one of very few of Ulead's). I don't believe that it is capable of outputting to HD resolutions. The only Ulead programs that I'm aware of are MSP, VS10+ and DMF5+. Unless the program can output to Hi-Def, I believe that it is going to down-res your images to fit the DVD specs, which if you are in NTSC country are 720 x 480. It makes no difference what your image sizes are, once you insert them into the program, and create an SD (Standard Definition) video, then the images are down-res'd to match.

thanks for the quick response, guys!
I'l check out the Ulead DVD MovieFactory program.
By the way, has anyone out there played one of your PictureShow slideshows on a large-screen high resolution tv?
If so, how do the pictures look?
Are they crisp and clear, like you're looking at the real thing?
(assuming your original pictures were)
Thanks,
Mary Ann
