I've tried the crop filters but the space that was supposedly cropped out keeps changing 'ratio'. It's really annoying me. There are a few cropping methods but I do not know which is the right one.
I simply want to crop out the excess black bar (the image is pillar-boxed) in a video clip. I want options to insert the video into a new presentation (into a 4:3 or 16:9 frame) with (nessesery in this case) black bars supporting the frame (maybe the panning option is the right method but I'll deal with that later once I've fixed this cropping issue).
The problem with my current clip is the video is positioned more to one side than it is to the centre (leaving a big gap on the right side but less of a gap on the left side).
My cropping would only happen once, as the ratio in the video clip does not change (aside from gatefloat which is a different issue).
How do I do this?
Thanks guys

On almost all of the filters Ulead has taken the liberty of inserting keyframes to show you how the filter can change during the course of the clip. What you will need to do is click on the Customize Filter button and set the beginning and ending keyframes to the same values.
