Any help in fixing the following?
I got the following error when trying to capture video:
Cannot start the capture graph.
Failed in capturing.
The created file is corrupt and unusable.
It will automatically be deleted.
This version of Video Studio (5.0 SE) came with a camera (Creative Webcam) I purchased but there is no support for it (since it wasn't purchased separately). I am using a template previously used and I have successfully used this software previously and am not sure why there is a problem now. Using a Sony Digital8 HandyCam. I am running Windows XP (SP2), 512 RAM and 80 GB of hard drive space.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software with the same result. Would upgrading to VideoStudio 8 solve this problem? Not an expert and could use some help.

Does Thomas Edison know you have his editor?
First of all, where on earth did you find a piece of hardware bundled with Video Studio 5?!? Did the shop proprietor have to blow the dust off the box before he handed it to you?
A piece of hardware I bought was bundled with Video Studio 7. There were times I called tech support and they always helped me even though it was an SE version. I think if you call them, you will find tech support to be very helpful.
I will tell you this much, in some way, there is something wrong with either your capture board or the way it is connected (or not) to your computer. Also, check your capture plugins.
I wish there was a way you could post a screen shot of your Video Studio 5. I've never seen one earlier than a Video Studio 7. Do you have to turn a crank to make it work? LOL
