Microsoft AVI files - OpenDML

The subject title of this thread is the file format that shows in the properties of my captured film clips - I captured AVI(DV) Type 1 as per sticky tutorial for recommeended procedure. What is Open DML and should it appear in the properties or have i done something wrong?

It's ok, you have captured correctly.
It is just part of the name of a committee that set up the original parameters of what constitutes and .avi file.
