creating dvd or DVD folder

Post by cschloman »

program runs fine until the share section in creating a disc. it also will not allow me to create a dvd folder
suggestions of burning at different speeds and using good quality brands of disc, I have already tried.
had computer checked over by technicians , they feel the problem is to do with the program itself as it says it is an application error.

have downloaded patches regarding dvd burning.

it did produce 1 disc that was fine to play on my DVD player.

How is it the program if it worked once? What did you do since?

This might give you an idea about the detail we need before anyone can hazard a guess http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8959

You may have a corrupt video file. A bad video file can cause all sorts of strange problems. (A bad video file will often play OK, but cause trouble when you try to make a DVD.)

If you are using a DivX or Xvid file, that file is probably the source of your problem. MPEG files sometimes cause trouble. DV files (from a DV camcorder) rarely cause trouble.

But like heinz-oz said, we can make a better guess if you tell us a little more about what you are doing.

It would also be useful to know if you have the Nero suite or the Roxio Easy Media Creator suite on your computer. Nero's InCD in particular has a tendency to take over your burner, denying access to it for other programs. It has to be totally removed to regain control over your burner. The Roxio drag-to-disc facility does the same thing, though I understand it can be internally disabled so that you don't have to totally remove the module.
