I have looked at the spec in whats new for vs10 but am still wondering if the program finally has a lock title option, ie when you do more editing after you have put in titles that these titles actually stay where you put them in the video. Also, I like to edit further after my nearly finished product, so I sometimes want to cut out a bit more and it always wants to remove the transition, such a nuisance.
I have version 9 and would love some improvement on the above options
questions about vs10

If you have Ripple Editing enabled for the Title track then your titles will stay put if you add or delete clips. Same with audio, overlays, etc. As for your transitions, they will still be removed if you trim the adjacent clip.

Santa Klaus C...
you will find the "Ripple" buttons at the left side of the time line. The buttons look like tiny rectangles, there are 3 very tiny rectangles and one slightly larger rectangle, with what appears to be a triangle at the immeadiate bottom of the rectangles. Each rectangle will ripple effect a particular function. Play with them to find out their secrets...
