Ok question One, so i recorded the video in 16:9 aspect, but when i add them to the timeline, and when i go to preview the project i have so far, the video file is waaaaay smaller then it should be, in 4:3 when it should be in 16:9 like i recorded.
A friend of mine who's more fluent on the program told me to code the file i have so far and preview and see if it would show the video in it's correct aspect that way, but it still shows up too small. How do i allow the program to show the video file in it's true aspect (16:9)?
Second Question, Ok, is it supposed to lock one movie clip to the next one, and not allow you to move the movie clip down the timeline in an area you specified? and doing so without having to move the clip into the overlay track, which in turn makes the clip even smaller (Pertaining to my previous question)? Or how would i make blank video to take up the space between clips so i can regulate at which point i want what movie clip to start at a user designated point in the timeline, without it being forced into the beginning, or right after the previous clip.
I thank you for your time, and im sorry if im reposting already asked questions, i did not find anything i needed. And this is for a class project thats due in 3 days, and im starting to freak out.
Thanks again guys.
Multiple questions.

Question 1: I'll ask the obvious. Are your project properties set for 16:9?
Question 2: You can put a color clip in the main video track to take up space between your video clips. Or, if you use the overlay track, with the clip selected right click it in the Preview Window and choose Fit To Screen.

Re: Multiple questions.
In VS10, you can modify the default original size of the overlay clips by going to File/Preferences (or F6). Check the box next to "Use fit-to-screen as default size in overlay track" (or F6/z).Sonno wrote:Second Question, Ok, is it supposed to lock one movie clip to the next one, and not allow you to move the movie clip down the timeline in an area you specified? and doing so without having to move the clip into the overlay track, which in turn makes the clip even smaller (Pertaining to my previous question)?

I set them to that last night, But it still previews very small, which i think will change when i render the video into a file format.
Ok, so to add a black screen inbetween video clips do i just make a Black jpg img thats 1280x800 and just insert and drag it as i need for time, or is there any easier way that im just not thinking about right now?
Thanks again Guys, you have been a huge help.
