linking audio to video

Why do some of my audio tracks lose their linkage from the project that I have saved to enable me to return to it for further editing? I then have the tedious task of re-linking the sound track to the project. This even seems to happen after I have "shared" the project and made a DVD, and saved any changes after the DVD has successfully been burnt.

June -- simply put, I have no idea why this happens. And why don't I have an idea? Because, simply put again, you give us nothing to go on.

What is your project? What are its overall properties. Where do the sound files in question come from? What format are they? What steps did you take in your project? Did you move any of the files from their original positions? What version of VS are you using? What are your computer specifications? What is you operating system? To name but a few...

If you moved, or deleted, an original file, then it will obviously have to be re-linked, for instance, but as it is, we just don't know what you have done...
