Hi Guys
This time its not a problem, just a general question.
Now I'm getting the hang of things (thanks to everyone's advice), I'm churning out some decent looking movies. Now I'm getting more adventurous. In the video shooting guide accompanying my retail version of VS8 it says that it is better to record audios separately, then add to the voice track and syncronise by using a soundwave graph and then mute the the original video.
Now maybe I'm trying to run before even crawling, but I can't see how that can be done in VS8 because there is only one audio monitor (which is not in graph format). Quality sound is not a major problem for the majority of my home stuff, but I sometimes film training courses and recording better quality sound separately and mixing to the video in VS8 would be a great bonus.
Has anyone any thoughts or experience in this area?
Regards.

Well remember of course that that particular book does not refer specifically to Ulead VideoStudio but to video editing in general. You are right UVS does not have any sound level indicators for use while editing - which is why I usually feed the speaker output via my old mixing deck while editing so I can visually see the sound levels on the meters and balance it out accordingly. Perhaps version 9 will have sound level indicators ??
