Hi,
Having done capturing, editing and mixing, when I move on to burn my video on DVD it takes lot time, on the final DVD burning dialogue box the progress goes like:
There are two progress bars on this page "Total progress" and "Detailed progress.
1st Step
Total progress: Convert title
Detailed progress: Converting video of the title (001/001)
1.34(1.44)GB/25 Min 11 Sec
This is where the main problem lies and it takes 1.5 hour to complete this stage and move on to the following, which are not bothering.
It seems to me that some un-desired conversion process is taking all the time, can anyone point to that?
2nd Step
Total progress: Convert menu
Detailed progress: Building motion background of the menu page ... [001/003], [002/003], [003/003]
3rd Step
Total progress: Prepare output content
Detailed progress: Video/Audio multiplexing
4th Step
Total progress: Prepare output content
Detailed progress: Finalizing VOB
5th Step
Total progress: Output disc
Detailed progress; Recording disc ... Writing at 2.4x (3385 KB/s)
I am using DVD+RW, I know they are slow to write (4X) as compared to DVD+R(16X), but the actual burning process starts after 99% progress is shown on "Total progress" bar and does not take more than 10 minutes to burn.[/b]

Yep that process will take a long time.
This is rendering the video or project to create a temp¡¦ file that is used for burning.
I would not recommend rendering during the burner stage, this can be done from the edit screen, the time to render may well be the same.
Please read the recommended procedure from the top of this forum.
And my quick guide from the link below.
Regards
Trevor
